Back in the fall, we redecorated my daughter’s bathroom to look more like a child’s bathroom instead of a plain guest bathroom. It started out looking like this…
And, now, it looks like this…
I love the way it turned out, but the toilet paper holder that is supposed to go across from the toilet was really an eye sore, which is why it was removed for this photo. So, I finally took care of that this weekend. I removed the plastic medallion that was on the front, primed it, and spray painted it white. After I let it dry, I tried placing it back in the bathroom, but I still wasn’t happy with it. It looked very dull and almost like chalk. So, I took it back outside and sprayed a coat of varnish on it, which added a bit of shine and an ivory tint to it. Finally, I liked what I saw, and back to the bathroom it went. The only addition I plan on making to it from here on out is an embellishment to the front circle area where the medallion used to sit. I will keep you updated on that!
