Saturday morning, my husband, daughter, & I were running late for an event we had to attend. Even though we were late, I still had to run a shirt to my parents’ house for them to take back for me. A couple of days before, I sat out the shirt and the receipt that my husband gave me (the shirt was a present from him that didn’t fit). We get in the car, head to my parents’ house when I decide to look at the receipt. And, of course, it was the wrong receipt. So, I get upset at him for not looking at the receipt and he gets upset at me for being hateful. So, we turn around, head back to the house, and race through the house searching for the correct receipt. Thankfully, we found it! But, right then and there, I decided this would not happen again. We needed better organization for our receipts. So, that evening, we went to Wal-Mart and purchased a few things to get this task accomplished. I think this small adjustment will save us time and heartache at the end of the day. Take a look at the before and after!

My supplies: The A-Z card guides cost $4.88 from Wal-Mart & the Sterilite
box cost $2.97 from Wal-Mart. I am getting organized for less than $10.00. Awesome!
I went through all of my receipts. I threw away the old ones & sorted the new ones alphabetically.
Then, I placed them all behind the correct letter of the alphabet. The coffee jar
is holding all of the extra buttons that you get when you purchase button-up shirts or sweaters.
It is also keeping all of the guides and receipts in place.
