At the moment, I think this is my favorite video to make and watch. I love it when blogs and vlogs that I follow create Favorite Things posts. I find myself rewatching them over and over again. So, it should come as no shock that I have been anxiously looking forward to this video/blog post since last month’s.
And, next month’s video will be extra special. It is my 4th blogiversary Favorite Things, so there may be something in it for you guys too (wink wink).
Without further ado, here is my list of favorites for the month of April.
(in no particular order)
#1 – Erin Condren Life Planner
I looked through my YouTube videos and I could not believe that I haven’t talked about my planner in any video. So, I am going to do so today. If there is one item that travels everywhere with me, it is my planner. My planner even goes in my purse before makeup.
I have tried many different planners in the last couple of years and I always go back to the Erin Condren Life Planner. I love the colors, paper quality, and that I can get it personalized with my name on the front. And, now, the covers are interchangeable. If I get tired of this one, I can order a new cover and make my planner look totally different.
#2 – Washi Tape
Washi tape is just another name for decorative tape and I love it. A couple of years ago, I started purchasing washi tape and I seriously had no idea what to do with it. I just saw a lot of people I followed on social media buying it, so I thought I needed some too. Now, I use it to decorate my planner, mail, and even on things like clothes pins to make them look cute.
So, where can you purchase washi tape?
Washi tape is almost everywhere these days. Most of my washi tape came from Jane.com. Boutiques will have certain blowout deals every once in awhile where most of it is $1.99 a roll on Jane.com. I usually stock up on those days.
I have also purchased it from JoAnn, Wal-Mart, Target, Pick Your Plum, and even Dollar Tree.
#3 – Ikea Antonius Basket Insert
These basket inserts are amazing. I use them in my bathroom drawers, office desk drawers, and in my planner cart. For $3.99, you can’t beat the quality or style. I do not live by an Ikea store, so I always make these an add-on item to an existing order.
#4 – Reisenthel Carrybag
A couple of months ago, I started following Organized Jen on her blog and YouTube channel. I saw that she used these Reisenthel carrybags all over her house. Much to my disappointment, I looked them up online and couldn’t find one anywhere that was in my price range. So, I picked up the phone and called Reuseit.com because they used to sell them. Luckily, they had 11 still in their warehouse and they sent me one. I liked it so much that I called back and they sent me a second one. I spent $43.00 with shipping, which was much less than anywhere else.
#5 – Philosophy Purity Made Simple
When I turned 30, I decided that taking better care of my face may be wise. Up until that point, I just washed my face with any random bar of soap that was in the tub.
So, I decided to do some research to find the best facial cleanser for me. And, I decided to go with Purity Made Simple. It is by far the best face wash I have ever used and I don’t even need a rag. I just have to squirt a little in my palm and gently massage it into my skin. It even removes my eye makeup.
