I can’t believe it is almost September. Where does time go? But, on a positive note… The end of a month means I get to share a new set of favorite things with you guys. This month, I have included some items that I keep talking about, but have never made my list. All of the things mentioned are all-time favorites this time around. They aren’t just August favorites. I hope you like them. 🙂
“Whoot” Scentsy Warmer
I am a big fan of Scentsy. I have several warmers throughout my house and I have purchased many as gifts, but there is one warmer that is my absolute favorite. And, that is Whoot. I am an owl lover and this little guy is so cute. He is actually a lot bigger than I had anticipated and he sits by my kitchen sink. I use him at least three times a week.
Now, I told myself if Scentsy ever decided to retire him, I would purchase another one because I love him that much.
Huggies Clutch n’ Clean
I discovered these little pouches about a year ago while I was shopping for diapers for my son. They are wipe pouches that are reusable and they come in the cutest designs. So, I have been carrying one around in my bag ever since. The two in the photo below are the ones I am currently carrying. My original one developed a rip in the bottom corner, so I had to retire it. I didn’t want an entire set of wipes to dry out. The top pouch I use in my work bag and the bottom, I use in my purse.
You can find them in the baby section or soap aisle at Wal-Mart. They cost around $3.00-$4.00 and are well worth the money, I think. They have saved me several times when out and about with my 2-year-old son.
Orla Kiely Small Cosmetic Pouch
Y’all have heard me talk about this little pouch over and over again. It is definitely one of my favorite planner supplies. I have been using it for at least 4 months now and it still looks brand new. It has a laminated coat on the outside of the fabric, so if I spill something on it, it will be just fine.
I carry it everywhere I go with my pens, wite-out, and Elmer’s tape runner in it.
Room Essentials for Target Y-Weave Baskets
By far, my favorite plastic baskets to use in my home are the Room Essentials y-weave baskets from Target. I love the design, they are visually appealing, and they help in many different areas in my home. The only downside is that they are a little pricey for a plastic basket. But, I have purchased several to use in my home because I will have them forever. So, I felt it was a good investment.
Now, to my lifestyle favorites…
Let me start by saying I have never been a person that spent a lot of money on a hairbrush. I just felt it was ridiculous to spend over $10.00 on a hairbrush.
If you watched my last KonMari Series Cleanout video featuring my beauty and cosmetics, then you saw the old purple Conair hairbrush I got rid of. Honestly, that brush was probably over 10 years old. I couldn’t find anything to replace it that met my expectations. But, here is the thing… The only place I looked was Wal-Mart and I wasn’t wanting to spend over $3.00 for a brush.
Then, I got an Ulta coupon for $3.50 off a $10.00 purchase, so I went to Ulta and decided it was time to try a nice professional brush. And, let me tell you, I am so glad I decided to give it a try. This Fingerbrush has made a huge difference. It helps my hair dry faster when blowdrying it. It works so well with my hair. I won’t go back to a cheap brush again.
Mens Hanes Tagless Tanks
I have been a fan of the mens Hanes tagless tanks for probably over 10 years now. I wear them under every shirt all year long; spring, summer, fall, and winter. I like to have something between my skin and the shirt I am wearing and these fit the bill. They aren’t expensive and are longer than the women’s tanks. I have a long torso and I have to purchase Talls in almost everything I order. The men’s tanks have extra length to them, which is great for me. Also, I like to have the tank stick out from the bottom of my shirt, so the men’s sizing helps with that too. I am a huge fan of layering. Very seldom will you see me out and about with only one shirt on. I just don’t do it.
