Welcome to Week 7 of my Binders 101 series. This week I am reorganizing my recipe collection. A couple of years ago, I tackled my recipes and placed them in a 2″ white binder that I wasn’t using.
I still like this binder, but since I am reorganizing everything else and placing them in similar binders, I decided to do the same to this one.
I purchased a 1 1/2″ Better Binder in blue from Staples.
In addition, I used the Avery Ready Index Durable Table of Contents Dividers with 12 tabs.
I already had the sheet protectors from the first time around.
When you open up the cover, I placed an orange pocket divider (I cut the tab off of the side). I will use this folder for new recipes that need to be filed or blank recipe cards (I will share the printable at the end of this post).
Behind the orange pocket divider is my Avery Index.
The Sections include:
- Side Dishes
- Main Dishes
- This & That
The three empty sections at the end will be nice to have in case a category needs to be added in the future.
Most of the sections are self explanatory, except for the “This & That” section. The “This & That” section will contain items such as condiments, glazes, dressings, etc.
I also created a recipe card printable in case I have any additional recipes that I need to write down and file in my binder. Feel free to download a copy for your Recipe binder as well.
And, I have to include a picture of my new completed binder on the binder shelf in my office.
