Welcome to Week 4 of my 7 week Creating an Emergency Station series. Today is all about the hygiene products. These items will be placed in each family member’s backpack. Note that some of the items will be shared between family members.
But, first, if you missed the first three weeks, check out the links below:
Below is a list of all the items I used, plus where I purchased each one.
o Wash rags – Dollar General (they came in pack of 8, so each person got 2 rags)
o Toothpaste – Wal-Mart
o Toothbrush – Wal-Mart (the kids got a cleaning pack with the brush and paste in a cute package)
o Toothbrush container – Dollar Tree (just for mom and dad, since the kids already had a package)
o Kleenex packets (at least 2 per person) – Dollar Tree
o Shampoo/conditioner – Wal-Mart (only the parents have these because there is enough to share)
o Soap – Wal-Mart (I got the bars to prevent bottle leakage)
o Lotion – Wal-Mart (only the parents have these because there is enough to share)
o Moistened towelettes – Wal-Mart
o Deodorant – Wal-Mart (the kids do not need this)
o Eyewear (if needed)
o Hand sanitizer – Dollar Tree
o Feminine products – Dollar Tree
o Razor – Dollar Tree
o Sunscreen – Avon
o Floss – Dollar Tree
o Mirror – old
o Brush – Dollar Tree
o Diapers – old (placed 5 in bag)
o Diaper cream – only thing I still need to add
o Baby wipes – Wal-Mart
Dad has all of his items, plus the dental floss and brush for the entire family.
Mom has all of her personal items, plus the feminine products, sunscreen and mirror for the family.
(She is 5 years old)
Kate doesn’t have as many items in her bag because she is sharing shampoo, conditioner, and lotion with us. The same goes for Derrick.
(He is 1 1/2 years old)
I thought it would help to give the ages of both of my children, so you could relate your family to ours.
