Happy Friday, everyone! As you might know, my two kiddos have birthdays right around the corner. My son’s first birthday (TEAR) is February 18th and my daughter’s fifth birthday is March 19th. So, this momma has had parties on the mind.
I had all intention of having my little man a Dr. Seuss party. I had some of the cutest ideas ready to go. My daughter had a Minnie Mouse first birthday party, so I wanted to do something different for Derrick. I am a HUGE Disney fan, but for some reason, Dr. Seuss kept sticking in my head. I had contacted the ladies that make cookies and cakes in my area, told them my ideas, and then, Derrick forced me to change my mind. So much for trying to get ahead of the game.
How (you might ask)? When you are sitting in the living room watching cartoons (of course), your son is playing (not paying attention to the TV), the introduction song to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on the TV and he stops dead in his tracks to acknowledge Mickey (in awe), it is a no-brainer. Sometimes, he even likes to bounce (his version of dancing) a little.
His party isn’t going to be a big one, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be cute. I have already gotten a few things going in my head, but I wanted to use today to get a little more inspiration.
