I have shared several jewelry organizing posts, but it seems like an area that keeps evolving around my household. I guess you could say I haven’t perfected the storage solution. And, like I have said, organizing is a process.
So, today, I am back again with another option for storing jewelry.
If you follow me on instagram, you probably saw this picture back in August.
After packing, moving, and attempting to unpack, this little steal finally has a purpose.
If you are interested in purchasing one of these awesome storage containers, it is my fourth one, it is a Sterilite 3 Drawer Wide Unit.
I also purchased a package of scrapbook paper and Duck Brand Diamond Grip Easy Liner in white from Wal-Mart for the project.
To start the project, I pulled out one of the drawers to my unit, placed the liner inside, and cut the material so it fit perfectly in the bottom of the drawer.
I used the easy grip liner in the bottom of each drawer to eliminate the jewelry from sliding side-to-side when I opened the drawer. You can add double-sided tape under the liner if you prefer to add some extra grip as well.
After looking through my package of scrapbook paper, I chose these three sheets. I love the colors and how they blend together.
Next, I measured the height of each drawer, measured my scrapbook paper, cut it, and applied it to the inside front of each drawer. I used double-sided take as my adhesive.
And, the final result. I may end up adding labels to the front of each drawer, but I have to order those from Staples. I will keep y’all updated on that one.
Now, let’s take a look inside…
Top Drawer – Earrings
You have seen these ice cube trays before. Now, they have a home and aren’t hanging around my closet for my kiddos to knock over.
Middle Drawer – Cuffs
The cuffs from Farm Girl Paints hold a special place in my heart, so they get a special drawer as well. Definitely, check out her amazing etsy shop. It is seasonal, so don’t wait.
Bottom Drawer – Necklaces
Not all of my necklaces will go in this drawer. Only the heavy or chunky ones will be placed in here. My others are hanging on a hook in my closet (I will show those during a different post).
Easy storage, but hopefully very beneficial for me!
Side note: I DID NOT put my cat in this next picture. She stepped in front of my camera while I was taking pictures and posed. She is a little bit of an attention hog.
