Happy Thursday! Today, I am sharing my makeup organization with you guys. Let me start by saying I do not own a lot of makeup. The makeup that I own I wear almost daily. I have been wearing the same brands and types of makeup for far too long, so I am actually trying to learn more about what I should be wearing and purchasing new makeup. Therefore, a lot of the makeup you see is new. Recently, I learned that I have actually been wearing the wrong makeup for my skin type (insert frown). Now I know why my makeup was almost non-existent by the end of the day. I have really dry skin and I was wearing makeup for oily skin. Big difference!
So, without further ado, let’s get to my makeup organization…
This is what my makeup drawer looked like before I reorganized it and decided to use different bins.
The first thing I did was remove everything out of the drawer, clean it, and insert new MacBeth Collection shelf liner to the bottom.
Then, I placed madesmart white interlocking bins in the drawer that I purchased from TJMaxx for $5.99.
I made sure they stayed in place by adding some Scotch Mounting Putty to the bottom of each bin.
Then, I filled each bin with my makeup.
Using my label maker, I labeled each compartment with the contents that would be contained in that bin. Excuse the front right and left bins, I think I forgot to place the labels on the actual bins. That must be done ASAP!
And, a little explanation of what goes in each bin…
And, that is all for my simple makeup storage. So far, it is working really great for me. I will definitely let y’all know if anything changes in my system.
How do you store your makeup? I would love to hear all about it.
