Last week, I shared lil Derrick’s nightstand and how I have it organized. Today, I am sharing mine. When I filled out my editorial calendar, I had no idea I was creating this many nightstand posts within such a short period of time. Sorry about that!
I have had the same nightstand for over 10 years now and it was given to me, so I am really not sure if you can get it anywhere now.
Here is a full length view of my side of the bedroom…
It is important for me to keep the top of my nightstand clutter-free. I do not have a lot of space to work with, so I need to make sure it stays clear of junk. And, this is a daily task. Every morning, I will find bobby pins, a glass, and possible a book lying on this space.
My sister-in-law sent me this little handmade wooden basket from Afghanistan. She is in the Air Force and stationed in Afghanistan until May. If you push the handle back, it turns into a flat coaster-like accessory.
I am horrible about taking my wedding ring off and laying it places around the house, so I have trinket boxes, bowls, and this little poodle to help me with that problem.
Now, let’s take a look at the single drawer on my nightstand.
- sleeping mask
- bobby pins
- hand lotion
- cough drops
The next area was not covered on my video. I actually filmed it and forgot to include the clip (insert frown). On the left side of my nightstand, I have a CableDrop cord clip. This is to keep my cellphone charger cord. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to search on the floor in the dark to find my cellphone charger. Now, I do not have to because it is on this clip at all times.
- toilet paper
- a few inspirational books

And, that is all for my nightstand area. If you would like to watch the video I created, I have the video and a link to the video on YouTube below.
