To say I am excited about this post would be an understatement. I have been working on this since the beginning of March. I knew when I started my Favorite Things series, I wanted to do something extra special for my May Favorite Things because it is also my Blogiversary. On May 31, 2011, I started this blog. Boy, how it has grown since that first potty training post. When I read a sign somewhere that said, “Blog, Sweat, and Tears” they weren’t joking. This little joy of mine has seen it’s share of ups and downs and a lot of you have been through this journey with me since Day 1. And, you may not think I know who you are, but I definitely do (insert smile).
So, I wanted this post to be all about you guys. It may be my Blogiversary, but I wanted y’all to get the surprises.
I contacted some of my all-time favorite companies and they all agreed to be a part of my special celebration. Each company has been talked about on this blog over and over again. They make products that are near and dear to my heart and now, y’all get a chance to share in my joy as well.
So, for this one, I will not be focusing on particular products, per se, but companies as a whole. I will share all of the items that I own from each company and you will get a chance to enter to win some of these fabulous items too at the bottom of this post.
Drum Roll, Please….

My love for this special lady goes way back before this blog even started. I saw one of her banners hanging in a gift shop and loved it so much that I immediately put it on my wish list. That next Christmas, my sister purchased my first Lisa Frost banner; the “Welcome” banner shaped like a house.
This special banner has been on my door ever since, except on certain holidays when I have a Lisa Frost holiday banner to replace it for a moment.
I was introduced to Pen & Paint by Ashley from Little Miss Momma in 2013. She did a post over her master bedroom and I couldn’t help but stare at the awesome gallery wall she created.
I had been trying to put together a gallery wall for my living room that matched my personality, but I just couldn’t do it until I saw her post. I immediately went to Lindsay’s shop and started to create my wish list.
My first purchases were made for my living room gallery wall…
The Pen & Paint prints are the bottom left and bottom middle pieces.
But, I couldn’t stop there. Then, I purchased two prints for my office, which I felt represented me whole-heartedly.
The Pen & Paint prints are the ones in the white frames.
And, that isn’t it. Then, I purchased one for Kate and Derrick’s bathroom.
And, I am about to start the gallery wall in our master bedroom. So, don’t be surprised if one pops up in there as well (insert smile).
You probably own at least one Spectrum product in your home and don’t even know it. That was the case with me. They sell products at Bed Bath and Beyond, Wal-Mart, Target, TJ Maxx, online, and the list goes on. They specialize in organization solutions for every room of your home.
I was contacted by them a couple of years ago and they wanted me to do a review of some of their products. Then, I realized I had been using their products for years and had no idea.
We have been working together ever since and I love their company and the sweet people that work there. If you want to purchase products from a company with heart, they definitely fit the bill.
I have their products in my office, bathroom, kids’ bedroom, and kitchen (of, course).
The baskets on the top of our bookcases.
The two tier organizer, sink cradle, under kitchen sink baskets, and paper towel holder.
Basket in our white storage cabinet.
And, I have several other Spectrum products that I will be sharing in the future.
Hi! My name is Kristin and I am a planner addict, in case you didn’t know. And, Oli Clips have been one of my favorite planner necessities.
So, what is an Oli Clip?
It is a magnetic paper clip, basically. They come in adorable prints and the magnets are super strong. They have no problem at all holding several months of layouts in my planner. Definitely click “favorite” on their etsy shop and get added to their facebook group because they are always having sales and coming out with new and adorable clips.
If you follow my YouTube channel, you may see a trend when you see me on camera (most of the time)…
Yep! The baseball style raglan tops. Now, not all of them are from the same company, but there is one company that started me on the whole trend and love and that is An Altered Ego. I seriously own about 8 of their shirts. And, I always have an ongoing wish list.
And, my obsession started with this shirt…
In case y’all didn’t know, my husband is a high school football coach and has been for over 10 years now. Even when he was in college, he was driving back and forth working as a coach for zero dollars. He was gaining experience, so we felt that was worth the financial sacrifice. We have gotten married, had children, and taken vacations around the football season schedule.
Props to all of the coach’s wives out there because it is not an easy thing to be. It doesn’t get any easier and I sacrifice a lot of time with my hubby, but he is doing what he loves and that makes me happy. I support his love of football and he supports my love of blogging. So, it is a win-win situation.
Enough with my rambling…
The shirt I have on today in my intro picture of this post and in my Favorites video is the “I’m so crafty” shirt.
Their shirts are adorable, comfortable, unique, and they don’t clinge to me. Being a mom of 2, I have gotten to where I like shirts that are fitted, but not so tight that you can see every shape of my body. Most of An Altered Ego‘s shirts are unisex (make sure you check the description of the shirt), which I love.
And, two of you will get to own one of these tops too!
