For those of you that don’t know me very well, I am not a huge reader. I really wish I was, but I don’t think it is in my nature right now. I wish I could be one of those people that could grab a good book, a cup of coffee and a blanket and get lost all afternoon. But, I am not! It seems like when I attempt to read a book (I read all of the Twilight books, but it was a huge struggle), my mind starts to wander off and I have to continuously re-read pages. So, something that is supposed to be relaxing becomes a pain.
But, I am a huge fan of magazines and anything with bright, bold pictures. The more pictures the better! I can skim through a book and look through the pictures all day long to get ideas and inspiration. I guess you could say that my daughter and I are on the same page with that one.
It may be hard to believe, but I do not own a single organization book. All of my ideas come from my head, the Internet, and trying the wrong thing the first time around. I read one of my ultimate favorite blogs yesterday (iheart organizing) and she was discussing her favorite organization/storage magazines and books. So, it got me thinking about purchasing my first book. After searching online for the best selections, I chose to purchase Real Simple: The Organized Home from Wal-Mart for 17.00, plus $1.97 to ship it to my home (not bad at all these days).
I can’t wait until it arrives on my doorstep! I will definitely let everyone know what I think of it once I search through the bright, bold pages for a few days. 🙂
Now, I am ready to find the perfect organization and DIY magazine subscriptions. I will keep you posted on what I decided to get.
