Good afternoon & Happy Thursday! I am pretty excited because the snow and ice are finally melting in my little ole town. Being cooped up in the house for over 3 days was definitely starting to give me cabin fever. I am not a person that likes to lounge around in my pajamas for days. I like to be productive! But, on a positive note, I did get a lot of organizing projects started and completed. And, I can’t wait to share each one with y’all.
The project I am discussing today is actually one that I completed a couple of weeks ago, but have waited to post.
I am not sure if I have shared the news with y’all, but I am in the process of changing the craft portion of my office. Why? These pictures tell it all!!!
The craft area that I was super excited about two years ago now looks like a mess! The wrapping paper looks like a cluttered mess and so does the pegboard. That was not my intention at all. So, down everything came and I am slowly reevaluating the space.
My first victim was the wrapping paper area. Keeping it on the wall was tearing up the paper, getting too heavy for the unit, and actually coloring my wall (I was shocked too when I took all of it down.).
My mom had several extra wooden bar stools in her shed that she used in our old home. She didn’t want them or need them, and they were actually just collecting dust. So, I took one off of her hands.
With a little work, it went from a regular stool to a gift wrapping caddy with wheels.
I took the stool, added wheels, turned it upside down, and repainted it with white spray paint. Overall, it took 2 coats of spray paint, then a few touch-ups.
I used a perfectly square basket that I had in my office to make sure the wheels were placed on the stool proportionately.
