I have been an admirer of gallery walls for awhile now. When done right, they can add a lot of appeal to a bare wall. I have seen many of my favorite bloggers complete beautiful gallery walls that I have found breathtaking. So, I gave it a shot in my home.
Friday, I shared my tips for creating a gallery wall. Remember, I mentioned that these gallery walls have been in the making for about 6 months. Originally, they were one gallery wall, but my new home didn’t have enough space to fit all of the pieces without looking like a cluttered mess. So, I decided to split them up and make two separate ones.
Each piece is special to me! They were either given to me, made by special artists or people that I admire, or from a special place.
My first gallery wall is located in my kitchen. I had a huge bare wall behind my kitchen table in the breakfast area, so I decided to fill it with a few of my favorite things.
This gallery wall centers around the poem my husband (then, boyfriend) gave to me when he asked me to marry him. Then, I have an infant photo of both of my children, a hands photo (with all 4 of our hands) that I snapped myself and had printed on canvas, a lovely Katie Daisy print, and two Pen & Paint prints (here and here).
My second gallery wall is located in my foyer or entry way. I had a narrow wall beside my windows that needed to be filled. What better way to fill it than with a gallery wall.
This gallery wall includes:
- two family pictures
- #4 (number of family members) that I purchased and spray painted through Craft Cuts
- Polyresin “M” that I spray painted sky blue
- Live Love Laugh and Be Happy sign by Barn Owl Primitives (My first one from Kristi. I loved it so much, I have already ordered 2 more).
- Be YOU Tiful sign by Evie Ivy
Disclaimer: All of the items included on these gallery walls were purchased by me. I was not compensated for this post. I love the artists and their products!
