Over the next couple of weeks, I will be giving y’all a look at the current state of our new home. You will get to see the raw, messy, and before organization pictures. Each room will go in a gallery under the “Home Tours” menu item at the top of my blog. So, here we go…
My husband and I built our first house in 2009. We were still in our twenties and so thankful that we were even able to buy a house let alone build one. We spent the next 4 1/2 years adding our own touches to our home because we thought we would live there forever.
Then, an opportunity turned our way and we decided to take it. We put our home on the market (with sadness) and moved to Paragould, Arkansas in August 2014. It was a sudden move, so we did not have a lot of time to prepare and plan for our future home’s decor or design. We just loaded everything in a U-haul and placed boxes where they would fit in our new home.
Now, we are gradually organizing, decorating, and turning this new house into a home.
So, as my husband and I tackle each room, I will share the journey with y’all! Keep in mind that our home is always under construction! As things change, I will update my pictures and sources. And, if you have a question about anything you see, please do not hesitate to contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a wonderful day and welcome to our home tour!
This is probably one of my favorite parts of our new home. We have needed a shed for several years, but didn’t have the extra cash to spend to build a nice one. We are so lucky that our new home has a really nice one.
