As I was packing Miss. Kate for a shopping outing we were going to take last Thursday, I thought to myself, “this would be an excellent blog topic.” So, that is exactly what my post is about today. I am going to give you a list of the items that we must take when we are going to be out and about with our toddler during the day.
Change of clothes – My little one is only 3-years-old, but she thinks she is much bigger. She wants to do everything by herself even if that means getting food on her clothes. So, we always carry extra clothes in case she gets juice, ketchup, or some other food item on her clothes. Oh, and did I mention that she hates to be dirty?!?! Not a good combination!
Blanket – Well, to be honest, I haven’t taken her baby blanket from her. She has gotten to where she only uses it at nap & night time, so I think she is gradually pulling herself away from it. Thank goodness!!! But, how can I take something away from her that I actually have myself. Yes, I still have a baby blanket, but I don’t sleep with it anymore. It started getting really really delicate, so it now sits in my closet.
Wash rags – This is an interesting one. My daughter gets very car sick thanks to her daddy’s genes. So, sometimes, we have to use wash rags to clean her up when she has one of those moments (if you know what I mean).
Panties/underwear – My daughter is completely potty trained, but she still has accidents. So, we always care extra undergarments in case she can’t make it to the bathroom in time.
Here are the items that went in her bag on our last shopping trip!
