I am happy to say that the nursery doesn’t look like a playroom anymore. Making that change was going to be the hardest part of the whole transformation. And, Kate was a lot more receptive to the idea than we first thought she would be.
At the moment, Derrick’s furniture is in the room, the bedding is on (some adjustments still need to be made), and now we are looking at how to decorate the entire room. In addition to the room, the closet is packed with toys, some clothes, books, and things that will get organized once the room is finished.
The furniture in his nursery is the same furniture that we used with Kate. We have to do some retouching on some of it because my daughter had a good time sharpening her chompers on the crib. Plus, I want to do some alternations to the dresser. The dresser is my least favorite part of the whole room so far, so I need to fix that.
I will share all of my additions and changes with everyone until the WHOLE ROOM is Derrick ready. I sure hope we get it finished before he makes his big arrival.
