I have wanted to share this post for a long time, but I could not seem to get the cabinet under my kitchen sink organized. We moved into our first home in Paragould and the cabinet was very oddly shaped. It had a lot of extra space that we could not fill because we could barely reach it. Then, we bought a home and everything just kind of worked perfectly.
Now, everything is easy to get to and organized fully. We did not utilize the back of the cabinet because of the plumbing. The entire back of the cabinet has pipes, so I did not want to mess with any of that space.
The essentials I need under the sink include:
- dishwasher detergent
- dish soap (for dishes that need to be hand washed)
- the sink stoppers
- disinfecting wipes & spray
- extra cleaning supplies
I decided to put the sink stoppers under the sink. I felt they were an eye sore sitting on or in the sink itself.
I lined the entire bottom of the cabinet with white Duck brand Easy Liner, so my organizing supplies will not move around when I go to grab something.
I keep disinfecting wipes under every sink in our home. They are good for cleaning up quick spills or when you need to wipe off the counter or sink.
A couple of months ago, we started using the dishwasher detergent pods and we like them a lot better. I was wasting so much detergent when I was using the liquid.
I store them in an old cereal container that I wasn’t using.
I labeled everything with my Brother label maker from The Container Store.
It is pretty simple, but I feel I have used all of the space and everything I need on a daily basis in the kitchen is easy to find.
And, now, I get to mark the first item off of my 2015 list of goals. Woohoo!!!
